"The Lynwood Two"

Frank Parker and Richard Nosowski both joined KES in 1954 and were both in Lynwood House with H T R Twyford as Housemaster.

They played together in victorious Lynwood football teams, for example the Under 13s in 1955-56 and the 1st XI in 1960-61. They were joint Senior Champion Athletes in 1960, shared the football medal in 1961 and between them won over forty individual and team medals for Lynwood.

Both went up to Oxford in 1961 where both won 2 soccer blues. Both played in the Varsity game in December 1964, the only occasion at which the school fielded two blues on the same side.

Their last Oxford game together was as runners-up in the 1965 final of the British Universities Cup.

They both attended the 2005 reunion for the 1964 winning team, also attended by their coach, Sir Bobby Robson.
