David was an active member of the Association; he signed up several hundred new members between 1980 and 1995, attended the dinners regularly and will be greatly missed.
Following an enquiry by Brian Hall I
discovered that Ted Powell, who retains legendary status in Malawi where he coached the national football team in the late 70s, is E W Powell, 1952-59. See

The OEA would be grateful for any information regarding Ted’s brother Colin. (C J W Powell, 1950-57.)
KES is planning a trip to Japan in October 2008 and seeks a modicum of funding - further details are at

Finally, those on Friends Reunited may have received an invitation from Chris Davis (not an OE as far as I know) to a reunion – this appears to be an advert for a nightclub rather than a genuine reunion.
